On May 23, students from the 5th period of the Forest Engineering course at the State University of Amapá (UEAP) carried out a technical visit to the Forest Nursery located in the municipality of Tartarugalzinho. The activity aimed to provide students with a practical experience on the processes involved in the production of forest seedlings.

During the visit, the students learned about the stages of the nursery's operation,from collecting mini-cuttings, rooting, and hardening, to the care required for the development of seedlings, ensuring the quality required for planting in the field.

The visit was essential to reinforce the theoretical content taught in the classroom, in addition to expanding the understanding of future forestry engineers about the importance of the seedling production chain for reforestation projects, recovery of degraded areas, and preservation of Amazonian biodiversity, highlighted the professor responsible for the group of students.
